The Indian Circus 🎪

    India has a long tradition of street performers and artists who would move from town to town. However, circus is a fairly new industry. According to Philip Astley, an English dire master, the first Indian circus was born around 1880. THE GREAT INDIAN CIRCUS [The Great Indian Circus was the first modern Indian circus, founded by Prof. Vishnupant Chatre, an accomplished equestrian and singer. It flourished under the patronage of the Raja of Kurduvadi, under whom Chatre worked as a stable master. The first performance of The Great Indian Circus was held in 1880 following which it toured extensively throughout the country as well as in foreign shores such as Ceylon and South East Asia. Chatre gained appreciation everywhere. However, his tour to North America was a failure where he could not match the size and grandiose of his competitors. The US is all set to host the first in person QUAD Meeting.


                          The QUAD summit

Declaration  
• The US President Joe Biden will host the first in person summit of leaders of the 
Quad countries 
• India   • United States   • Australia  • Japan 
Which have been seeking to enhance the cooperation to push back against China's growing assertiveness. 

•  The summit will held at the White House in Washington on September 24  2021 

The last virtual meet held last year on March 2021.


What's  on the table ?

• This time QUAD Leaders will focus on the defence and security issue as well as Covid Vaccine support  , Economic development initiative,  supply chain and critical technologies as well as some reference on the issue of Afghanistan are expected. 

• The meeting would provide a valuable opportunity for dialogue and interaction  among the leader in their shared vision of ensuring a free open and inclusive Indo pacific region considering  China's aggressiveness in recent year especially in south China sea. 

India time to shine ?


Pm Modi visit is significant given that this will Mr. Modi's first in person meeting with us president after he took over the office. Beside meeting with Biden he is expected to have important meeting with the top echelon of the US administration which will be an effort to reach out to the Democratic establishment which has been quite vocal  about the Human Rights situation of the states. article from kootniti
